We want you to send us your snap shot of IRN-BRU getting you through your day. No matter how ordinary, everyday or exciting the moment is we want you to send us a photograph.
We'll pick the best ones and reward one lucky winner with an 'IRN-BRU gets you through' goody bag, a supply of IRN-BRU, tickets to an SFL match and other IRN-BRU goodies.
Send your pictures to competitions@bigissue.com with your name and address. The funniest pictures will be printed in The Big Issue.
Full Terms & Conditions: Please read these terms carefully. By submitting an entry to this competition, you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms.
Entry to this competition is open to legal residents of the UK, aged 18 and over. Proof of age and residence may be required.
This competition is not open to: (i) employees of the promoter or their families; (ii) employees of A.G. BARR p.l.c or their families; or (iii) anyone else professionally connected with this competition.
This competition opens on Monday 2nd July 2012 and closes on Thursday 12th July 2012. Any entries received outside these dates will not be accepted.
To enter this competition, you must send your photos via e-mail to: competitions@bigissue.comtogether with your full name and address (Entry). Please write “IRN-BRU Competition” in the subject heading of your e-mail. Entries without images won’t be counted.
Your Entry must:
- Be your own work;
- Not be copied from someone else or contain any materials or content that you do not have permission to use;
- Not contain any defamatory, obscene, offensive, or any other unsuitable material;
- Not be intended to intimidate, harass, upset or cause embarrassment to anyone; and
- Be suitable to be published online.
The promoter recommends that you do not refer to or feature people in your Entry in order to avoid causing upset or embarrassment. Where your Entry does refer to or feature a person, you must either: (i) obtain that person’s consent to refer to or feature them; or (ii) refer to or feature them in such a way that they are unidentifiable.
You must submit your own Entry. You must only submit one Entry. If you submit more than one Entry is submitted, only your first Entry will be considered.
You retain the copyright in your Entry. By submitting your Entry, you grant the promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free licence to publish your Entry, name and city of residence on http://www.bigissue.com/, http://www.irn-bru.co.uk/ and on any related platforms (including facebook and twitter).
The promoter will arrange for an independent judge to pick the winner. The name of the judge will be available on request from: Stripe Communications. In picking the winner, the judge will look for the funniest Entry. The judge’s decision will be made on Monday 9th July 2012 and the winner will be notified on Wednesday 11th July 2012
The prize is:
- Two cases of 300ml IRN-BRU
- One case of 300ml IRN-BRU Sugar Free
- Two tickets to a 1st, 2nd or 3rd division SFL match of the winner’s choosing (subject to availability); and
- A bag of IRN-BRU goodies.
The prize cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash. Unless otherwise agreed with the promoter, the winner is not allowed to transfer the right to accept the prize to anyone else.
The promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize, or any part of the prize, with another prize of similar value if the original prize offered is not available for any reason.
The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner may be required to participate in unpaid promotional activity in connection with this competition.
The promoter will use any personal data that you provide together with your Entry (including your e-mail address, name and postal address) in order to administer the competition. By entering this competition, you agree to the collection and use of your personal data for this purpose.
Neither the promoter nor A.G. BARR p.l.c can accept any responsibility for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any server, Internet access, system or otherwise which may result in any Entry being lost or not properly registered or recorded. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
To the extent allowed by law, neither the promoter nor A.G. BARR p.l.c will be liable for any loss, damage or injury which is sustained as a result of participation in this competition or in connection with the prize.
The promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Entry which breaches any of these terms.
The promoter reserves the right to suspend, vary or cancel this competition and/or vary these terms without notice as may reasonably be necessary owing to circumstances outside its reasonable control and where circumstances make this unavoidable
These terms and this competition will be governed by Scots law. Any dispute which arises in relation to these terms or this competition will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
