Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg would have been braced for a few headlines following his surprise apology for promising to oppose any hike in tuition fees. But we doubt he expected it to be turned into a spoof music video.

Comedy website The Poke http://www.thepoke.co.uk/  – slogan, “time well wasted” – were quick off the mark with their Nick Clegg Says Sorry (The Autotune Remix), first posting it on YouTube and then making it available to purchase via iTunes.

Clegg should be delighted. He might not win the next election, but on this evidence he should have a pretty good stab at The X-Factor.
