Karen Gillan talks to The Big Issue about the Doctor Who finale for the Ponds

Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan is planning on making every single one of her fans shed a tear as she bows out of the popular science fiction series next Saturday (September 29).

In this week's Big Issue cover feature, the 24-year-old from Inverness, confirms that this series really will spell the last for Amy Pond in the Tardis.

But in our Q&A, she carefully avoids saying just what kind of end the much loved assistant and her husband Rory meets with...

Big Issue: "Your last episodes have been described by writer Steven Moffatt as his love letters to the Ponds – this sounds pretty terminal…"

Karen Gillan: "That doesn’t necessarily mean death, but it will be very final. So yeah, you are going to cry. I hope so, anyway. I like making you cry. That makes me happy…"

Poor Karen and Rory… sniff… missing you already.
