The Big Issue is standing up for you!

 
We’re keeping our eye on organisations or individuals who have left our readers high and dry – but The Big Issue wants your help.

Perhaps your local council has dug up your local playing field. Maybe the government has cut your benefits or some shady business has run off with your money.

Whatever it is: we want to hear from you.

We started our new Eye On You column because we want to stand up for our readers, no matter what their problem is.

Our first piece exposed the unfolding scandal involving ATOS, a French company currently testing disabled people’s ability to work. Fail the test and your benefits are cut. Too many people were being unfairly declared fit to work and so we stepped in to keep our eye on ATOS.

We’ve also exposed the closure of care homes in Bristol, and the proposed closure of a children’s heart surgery facility near Leicester.
