Prague Fatale
Finally we have Prague Fatale (Quercus) from historical crime writer Philip Kerr. Set in 1941, it’s the eighth of Kerr’s novels to feature German detective Bernie Gunther, and it’s a classic closed-room murder mystery in the style of Agatha Christie, with added Nazis. Kerr is a good, suspenseful writer, but the plot and characterisation are rather over-familiar, making this a decent diversion but nothing more.
