Connecting Futures

Catalysing social enterprises to build a joint sustainable future

Connecting Futures, a new opportunity developed in partnership with abrdn Charitable Foundation, offers a tailored 12-month mentorship programme to social enterprises throughout the UK who tackle some of the most pressing societal issues we see today. Our goal is to work together towards a better future in every community.

The programme aims to recruit 50 mentors that will be able to support 30 social enterprises to recover and scale and to help them deliver greater impact in a post Covid-19 world.

Whether you are a Social Enterprise, of you are looking to join us as a Mentor, we will aim to support and develop you over the 12 month programme.

The Programme Breakdown for Social Enterprises

One-to-one Support from the Big Issue Invest Team and feedback sessions to make sure each mentor and every social enterprise feels supported.

Celebration Event to culminate the milestone achieved through the help of the programme and mentors, we will have a showcase where each organisation can pitch the transformation achieved over the course of the previous 12-months.

Time commitment – Each Social Enterprise will receive up to four hours of mentoring support per month, and will join us for group learning sessions and networking.
