What is the Transformation Fund?
The Transformation Fund helps us respond to rising poverty and fast-changing economic conditions. With fewer cash transactions, declining print sales, and greater instability for people on low incomes, we are evolving our model so that more people can earn a stable income.
Your support will help us safeguard current vendor income and create new digital-first opportunities that work for more people seeking flexible ways to earn.

What the Fund supports
Protecting vendor income today
We are expanding practical tools that help vendors earn more, including digital inclusion support and cashless payment options such as FumoPay, alongside routes to other work through Big Issue Recruit.
Creating new digital-first earning opportunities
We are developing and piloting new solutions to give people in poverty, including young people who are not in employment, education or training (NEETs), flexible, community-focused ways to earn through digital content and place-based activity.
Building a future-ready model
We are developing a scalable approach that increases income, builds confidence, and strengthens local communities.
