WELCOME: The Big Issue Christmas cover designed by competition winner Lucy Norris
Issue 1337
Come on in.
Since 2013 we’ve run an annual competition to have children under 13 design a Big Issue Christmas cover. Every year we’re knocked sideways by the response. It starts with a small trickle of envelopes dropping into the office, slowly but surely becoming a glorious paper tsunami preventing us from even opening the door in the mornings.
This year we had an entire truck load of entries, and the competition was fierce. After much deliberation, we decided on a clever, inspiring and altogether fantastic cover from nine-year-old Lucy Norris from Ware. Well done Lucy!
This week’s issue is also packed full of festive delights. We speak to Mark Constantine, founder of bath bomb giant Lush, and the man who rescues millions of frazzled gift-buyers every Christmas.
