128 days to end rough sleeping
Issue 1732
Prime minister and one-time guest Big Issue vendor Andy Burnham has pledged to give every person sleeping rough in England a route off the streets by Christmas. It’s part of his drive to put an end to street homelessness, and he speaks exclusively in this week’s Big Issue about his huge plans. He also reveals that he’s donating a percentage of his PM’s salary to help the homeless. It’s a bold and welcome vision, and Big Issue founder Lord John Bird gives his views on the potentially game-changing development.
