Chloe and Paul Take On Snowdon By Night!

Big Issue Foundation supporters Chloe and Paul are taking on highest mountain in England and Wales to raise funds to support our work!

20th June

Thank you so much to Chloe and Paul, who not only completed this amazing challenge but have now rasied over £1,000 to support Big Issue vendors! We really can’t thank you enough for all of your hard work.

As the highest mountain in England and Wales, trekking up Snowdon provides breath-taking views and an exhilarating challenge. But did you know that it can also provide Big Issue vendors with access to vital services, such as healthcare, career support and accommodation advice?

Big Issue Foundation supporters Chloe and Paul are not just taking on Snowdon this June, but they’re doing so through the night. A popular summit trek by day-time, it forms a real challenge by night. Led by expert trek leaders from Discover Adventure, Snowdon by Night is a rare chance to experience the rugged landscapes of Snowdonia lit by moonlight. With a friendly hotel as your base and a mighty breakfast to look forward to, seeing the sun rising as you descend will be well worth the effort.

Chloe was inspired to fundraise for The Big Issue Foundation after seeing CEO Stephen Robertson speaking at a Brighton networking event earlier this year. She commented, “We both agreed The Big Issue is a great cause and I am particularly passionate about it as I used to work at The Body Shop head office when they were helping to set it [The Big Issue] up. I had to see what Paul thought about doing it and he said yes straightaway to Snowdon – being the proud Welshman he is!”

Through Discover Adventure, you can trek or cycle incredible routes around the world, all while raising vital funds for The Big Issue Foundation. Providing you pick the fundraising option and choose The Big Issue Foundation, you’re sure to tick off an item of your bucket list from a husky sled challenge to a trek to the South Pole.

We want to wish Chloe and Paul the best of luck on their challenge next weekend, as well as saying a big thank you for their incredible fundraising so far! You can support Chloe and Paul on their challenge taking on Snowdon By Night to help end poverty for Big Issue vendors by donating to their fundraising page here.
