Support the Big Issue

For over 30 years, the Big Issue has been committed to ending poverty in the UK, but we can only do this with your help. Since 2017, there has been a 148% increase in the level of people experiencing destitution, with 3.8 million people experiencing the deepest levels of poverty, where people struggle to afford to meet their basic needs to stay warm, dry, clean and fed. Our work is needed more than ever. Find out how you can support the Big Issue today.

Ways to Support

Where Your Support Goes

When you buy from your local vendor

Vendors buy each copy for £2 and sell them for £4 – they keep 100% profit on every copy sold.

As well as earning a vital income, Big Issue vendors gain valuable social and transferable business and financial skills.

When you subscribe

If you can’t get to your local vendor very week, then a subscription is the next best way to support them. Each vendor will receive 50% of the profits (including any future subscription renewals) and the rest is invested back into the work we do to dismantle poverty in the UK.,

When you support with a financial contribution

Your financial support goes directly towards the work of our Frontline team. Since 1991 the team has supported over 107,000 vendors with the vital resources, services and opportunities needed to turn their lives around.
