We Are The Future
Issue 1670

This week, Big Issue has handed the reins to young people working with youth charity OnSide, allowing them to talk about their ‘big issues’.
The group, who range from 13 to 18, have chosen to chat to interviewees who are important to them, including X Factor winner James Arthur and influencer Simon Squibb. Fifteen-year-old Riley Holden also challenges Minister for School Standards Catherine McKinnell about the failures of the educational support offered for his cerebral palsy and other special educational needs.
There are articles around education, health, identity, music, immigration, fashion… and lawn bowling. It’s eye-opening and will shift perspectives.
