When Belgian detective Hercule Poirot takes a cruise along the Nile he becomes embroiled in a triple murder and what seems the perfect crime. Wonderful adaptation, full of place and atmosphere, and brilliantly plotted. Heat and intrigue on every page.

The Nine Tailors by Dorothy L Sayers (BBC full cast) 

After crashing his car in a snow storm, Lord Peter Wimsey becomes involved in the strange murder of a thief called Deacon. The mystery deepens as Wimsey realises the culprits are not of this world.
