‘The Big Issue Foundation - Aspirations Week 2013’

Held once a year around all of our offices in the UK, Aspirations Week is just one example of The Big Issue Foundation’s work to inspire our vendors and to help them move forward.

This year, we planned a great week of activities in London where vendors attended sessions on everything from Music Club to IT Clinics at our partners’ Freshfields Law Firm, and workshops on Life Coaching, Spiritual Healing and Shiatsu treatments in our Vauxhall office.

A huge thanks to Freshfields and to everyone who gave their time and expertise during the week.

Quotes from the week

‘It’s real this fear, confidence, feeling insecurity, the financial crisis, the media etc. I feel these kind of sessions should be repeated; it has been very eye opening and helps a great deal. Thank you so much.’ Kamal, Vendor

‘I felt the workshop was very relaxing and informative regarding the issue of dealing with your own person, especially selling the Big Issue.’ Kevin, Vendor

‘A really interesting session. People selling the Big Issue need more confidence in their own activity but they are frightened to converse with people they don’t know. I’m interested in learning more.’ Ron, Vendor

‘A good activity and I learned a lot and all these tips will definitely be employed when I sell the magazine.’ Dean, Vendor

How many kids, Keir?
