Social Enterprise and Charity Funding Opportunity in Liverpool

Loans for charities and social enterprises based in the Liverpool City Region

If you’re running a social enterprise or charity that makes an economic and social impact in the Liverpool City Region, the Liverpool City Region Impact Fund (LCRIF) and looking specifically for social enterprise funding, LCRIF may be a good fit for your organisation.

The Liverpool City Regional Fund (LCRIF) provides repayable finance and will make two waves of investment. Eight investments were made under wave one between 2014-16 and are now looking to make the second wave of investments from the returns on the first wave. Once wave two investments are repaid, the remaining funds will create a legacy for social enterprises in the North West.

Who is the funding available for?

Charities and social enterprises based in the Liverpool City Region: i.e. Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral.

The fund offers:

  • Unsecured loans of between £150K- £250K
  • Repayment terms up to 10 years
  • Competitive interest rates, ranging from 3-8%, based on risk and affordability
  • No hidden fees

The fund is now looking to make its second wave of 2 or 3 local investments for 2019-2023: register your interest or find out more below.

When most people think about the Big Issue, they think of vendors selling the Big Issue magazines on the streets – and we are immensely proud of this. In 2022 alone, we worked with 10% more vendors and these vendors earned £3.76 million in collective income. There is much more to the work we do at the Big Issue Group, our mission is to create innovative solutions through enterprise to unlock opportunity for the 14million people in the UK living in poverty.
