Ask the Government to End Housing Insecurity Now
Sign our petition to keep people in their homes
There are 9 million renters in the UK living in poverty – we’re calling on the Prime Minister to make sure everyone can afford to stay in their homes.
Skyrocketing rents are forcing millions of those on the lowest incomes to go without essentials like food and heating in order to pay the rent and keep a roof over their head.
This is an impossible balancing act. 242,000 households have already been made homeless, and now urgent action is needed to prevent thousands more being forced out of their homes.
We’re calling on the Prime Minister to make sure everyone can afford to stay in their homes and pay for the essentials by:
- Unfreezing Local Housing Allowance rates
- Increasing Universal Credit to £120 a week for a single adult and £200 for a couple.
