About Us

Our Mission

At Big Issue Invest we create innovative investment solutions that unlock social and economic opportunity for social enterprises, social-purpose businesses and charities in the UK. This also aligns to the wider Big Issue Group mission to create innovative solutions through enterprise to end poverty in the UK.

Why partner with us?

Tailored Support

Our experienced team works with you to understand your specific requirements, and afterwards offers support at every stage of your investment journey.

Strategic Investment

We provide organisations with capital but equally, our funding is strategic, targeted, and geared towards long-term impact.

Impact Generation Experience

We have delivered positive change to millions of people across the UK for over 20 years and so know what it takes to achieve meaningful impact.

Our Impact

At Big Issue Invest we provide finance to organisations that create positive social impact. Almost all our investees are unable to raise mainstream finance. We have invested in over 550 organisations since 2005, with over 50% of these organisations working in the 25% most deprived areas of the UK. 80% of our investees became more financially sustainable as a result of our investment, and more than half were able to hire new staff last. Read more about our impact here.
