Looking back (without anger) on Oasis
Issue 1632
What’s the story? As a young PhD student, Rupa Huq interviewed Oasis legend Noel Gallagher for Big Issue in 1999. Some might say that was a career high, but she would go on to forge a path in politics – as a Labour MP since 2015. In this week’s magazine, she recalls their conversation, recorded in a time of Britpop, political change and cautious optimism, drawing parallels with today’s world.
