Be a Big Issue Community Champion

At The Big Issue we know that small things, like buying a magazine, can make a huge difference to people who need it. Now it’s time for the next stage. The future’s about community. Join us, be part of it

Cyber Monday Sale The Big Issue Shop

The Big Issue is a community. Over the last 27 years this has been built on the bonds between our vendors, our readers and staff. The Big Issue exists to provide the poorest in society with a hand up, not a handout. And no part of the community could exist without the other.

We give voice to those who frequently have no voice. And we become a means of amplifying great ideas that may otherwise be hidden.

We want to do this more. And the only way we can do it is with our readers and supporters. As we move into the next stage of The Big Issue’s development we want to build a network of Community Champions across Britain. We want to hear from the areas that frequently feel neglected and left behind. We want to hear your concerns, your stories, the campaigns you are mounting and what we all can do, as a Big Issue network, to help.

We also want to hear from those in areas that are covered but feel they are not being heard.

If you want to be someone who tells us about your local community, get in touch. There is no experience necessary – simply an appetite to share the stories of where you’re from, and work with us to shine a light where it is needed.

The future is uncertain and we’re going to need good people united to face it. Stay tuned.

Get in touch at editorial@bigissue.com.

We can’t wait to hear from you.
