Vote Big Issue to win the PPA’s illustrious Cover of the Year award

Our incredible Ralph Steadman-designed Boris Johnson portrait is up against the likes of Wired, Cosmopolitan and Vogue in the public vote – and we need your support to win

The Big Issue not only needs your support while vendors are off the streets – we also need you to help us scoop the coveted PPA Cover of the Year prize.

We teamed up with the agent provocateur of political satire Ralph Steadman last September for the eye-catching cover. Steadman conjured up a grotesque sketch of the then-Prime Minister wannabe and now 10 Downing Street incumbent Boris Johnson.

VOTE BIG ISSUE HERE

Steadman wasn’t a fan – he told us: “I saw him as a scatty clown. Actually, I wouldn’t say clown because that’s an insult to a clown. Clowns can be quite funny and nice. But not Johnson.”

We’re big fans of the design though, and so are magazine body PPA. The Big Issue cover is in the running for the Cover of the Year award, which is decided by a public vote.

We need your help to come out on top in a hotly contested category against other magazine giants Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Wired and more.

Cast your vote here every day then tell your friends and family (while maintaining social distancing) to do the same so The Big Issue can scoop the prize. Don’t delay, get your vote in now – the winner will be announced at the virtual award ceremony – marking PPA’s 40th anniversary – on June 30.
