Maxine Peake (Shameless, Silk) heads an all-star Brit cast in the sometimes tragic but always comic Funny Cow.
This intimate portrayal of a female comedian trying to break into the male-dominated world of working men’s clubs is out on DVD on August 27.
From her troubled childhood to her turbulent adult relationships, the ‘Funny Cow’ uses the raw material of her life experiences to bring her unique style of comedy to the stage. As a stand-up comedian in an all-male world,
the film delivers tragedy and comedy in equal measure.
