Watch Fleabag live at home to send cash to the NHS

Phoebe Waller-Bridge wants you to "order a slutty pizza" and settle in to watch her performance of the one-woman show – the easiest way to help NHS charities and the UK's impacted theatre industry

Did you miss Fleabag – the play which inspired the Emmy-winning TV series – when Phoebe Waller-Bridge brought it to the theatre for one final run last year?

Fear not – now you can stream the West End performance, recorded in September, via the Soho Theatre On Demand service for just £4 and the cash will go straight to supporting charities like the National Emergencies Trust, NHS Charities Together and Acting for Others.

The creative team behind the show has agreed to forego all royalties to make sure all of the money will go straight to helping those fighting the pandemic on the frontline.

Some of the cash will also go into the new Fleabag Support Fund which gives £2,500 grants to UK theatre freelancers whose income has been hit by the coronavirus shutdown.

Waller-Bridge, the creator, writer and star of Fleabag, said: “I hope this filmed performance of Fleabag can help raise money while providing a little theatrical entertainment in these isolated times. Thank you to all our partners and to the creative team who have waived their royalties from this production to raise money for such vital causes in this unbelievably challenging situation.

“All money raised will support the people throughout our society who are fighting for us on the frontlines and those financially devastated by the crisis, including those in the theatre community. Thank you in advance to those who donate.

“Now go get into bed with Fleabag! It’s for charity!”

Anyone who buys a copy of the performance will have access to it for 48 hours – and from Friday it’ll be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Back in 2016 Waller-Bridge talked to us about her love of karaoke and why Olivia Colman is the pal to bring along when you fancy a sing-song.

Plus we spoke to the Hot Priest himself, Andrew Scott, about his star turn in Fleabag, sex and religion, LGBTQ+ homelessness and his plan to go to America in search of new roles.
