Big Issue’s Big Community Roadshow is gripping the streets of Cardiff with our reporters and outreach staff taking part in a busy line-up of community events in the Welsh capital.

Our editorial team is in the city until Wednesday (14 May) speaking to the public and finding out the stories that matter to the people of Cardiff and South Wales.

From a universal basic income to the reality of renting in the city. From 10 years of Future Generations to which way the people of Cardiff will vote in next year’s Senedd elections. We’ve got the big issues covered while we’re in the city.

If you have a story to tell us then we have an open door and encourage people to drop in, to meet us, to learn about Big Issue and alert the team to topics you feel that the Big Issue should be covering. Meet us at PWSH Centre at 111 Queen Street from 10am-5pm, Monday to Wednesday.

Meanwhile, our outreach teams hit the streets to drum up support for our Poverty Zero campaign. We’re calling on governments to set poverty reduction targets and hold them legally accountable to those commitments. Sign our petition to back the campaign.

A five-a-side football tournament was also held to honour much-loved Big Issue vendor Mark Richards, who died last year after more than a decade selling the magazine on Cardiff’s Queen Street. The Mark Richards Memorial Football Tournament took place at Gôl Cardiff to raise funds for the Street Football Wales team to attend the Homeless World Cup in Oslo this August.
