Charlotte Elton is a freelance journalist who works regularly with the Big Issue. She was previously based in Australia, where she worked as a health and state politics reporter at The West Australian Newspaper. In this role, she won “Best New Journalist - Runner Up” for a 2021 investigation into police misconduct.
