Watch now: Exclusive video from Yungblud’s ‘make or break’ US tour

Yungblud has given The Big Issue a glimpse inside his American tour. “You either break America or it breaks the band,” he said.

Yungblud – music star and youngest ever guest editor of The Big Issue – has shared footage from his ongoing tour of the USA exclusively with our readers.

The video shows backstage hijinks and wild concerts, in venues and on American streets. It is the first glimpse for UK fans from Yungblud’s huge American tour, and is unveiled today through The Big Issue.

Yungblud, who also today confirmed that he will play the Albert Hall in London this March in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust, said that the American tour was vital for him.

Speaking from his tour bus on the road near Washington DC, Yungblud told The Big Issue: “You either break America or it breaks the band. I think this next album and this tour is either going to be the ultra demise or the ascension of my career.

“I don’t give a fuck anymore. I’m gonna say what the fuck I want, as long as it’s true and as long as it’s real.”

Yungblud also took the opportunity to urge people to pick up the latest edition of The Big Issue, which he has guest edited.

“Please, please, please get a copy of The Big Issue,” he said. “It’s going to help so many people.”

For the special edition he brought in people he believes “are really making a difference”. They include Louis Theroux, Bimini Bon-Boulash and Fearne Cotton.

Yungblud also revealed, for the first time, his own personal relationship to The Big Issue, saying one of the magazine’s sellers offered him solace and “human connection” when he was feeling lost on first arriving in London as a teenager.

The Big Issue, guest edited by Yungblud, is available from your local vendor from February 21 to February 27.
